I reach for solitude
as though it were a dusty book
on the highest shelf.
with its well worn pages
and tattered edges.
It tells stories of waterfalls
and lightening storms.
blue skies
and purple sunsets.
I quietly close the book
and return it to the highest shelf.
to bare witness to
the other books.
and other stories waiting to be told.
